ACCESSIBILITY

Car-parking

On-street parking for Blue Badge holders is available in Penmaenmawr’s high street.  Depending on the spaces available, the distance to the museum from the on-street parking is between 10 metres and 50 metres.

For safe access to and from your vehicle, we recommend you use the car-parking facilities in Fernbrook Road if possible.  Please see the ‘Visit Us’ section of our website for directions.

From Fernbrook Road car-park:

At the top of the car-park, outside the library, there are two designated Blue Badge parking bays.

Ramped access to the high street is located between the public toilets and the public library.

  • Follow the ramp to the high street and turn right onto the accessible pavement (approx. 1.7m wide, widening to approx. 3m wide)

  • Follow the pavement around to the right, until you reach a dropped kerb on your left.

  • Cross the road at the dropped kerb.  There is another dropped kerb on the other side, and when you reach it, go left and follow the curve of the pavement around to the right (the pavement here is approx. 1.7m wide, widening to approx. 2m wide)

  • Continue straight ahead for approx. 50 metres.

  • Penmaenmawr Museum is on the right, opposite the Mountain View bunkhouse.

  • The pavement outside the museum is approx. 1.4m wide and the entrance to the museum is flat with a 1.2m wide doorway.
